Paul Scott

Paul says he has the best job in the world; being paid to travel the Country and watch football. However deep down he knows it’s the second best job in the world; behind being paid to travel the country and play football!

So working out from a fairly early age that he wasn’t the world’s greatest footballer and wasn’t going to emulate his childhood hero Alan Shearer was an advantage. He began his career working voluntarily for Spire FM in Salisbury. Where he was in charge of editing all the incoming reports from around the country. However he harboured ambitions to be out and about watching football on a Saturday afternoon rather than stuck in a studio.

So off he went to Southampton Solent University to study Journalism and house shared with Wisey no-less. They struck up an instant friendship spending their time arguing about everything but usually football matters. After Uni Paul got a job at BBC Radio Solent as a commentator and reporter where he spent 2 years before arriving at The Quay in July 2007.

Favourite Food: A good home made Chilli (no Mushrooms)

Hobbies: Playing football, watching all other sports. The occasional music gig, pub quizzes, going to Bournemouth beach when the weather allows.

Favourite Film: Dumb and Dumber

Favourite Song: Too many to choose from. Either something from Johnny Cash, Morrissey, The Sex Pistols, The Clash or The Smiths.
